PCB has announced the much-awaited artist line-up for the HBL PSL 9 Anthem, Ali Zafar and Aima Baig to sing the official PSL 2024 theme song. The ninth season of the Pakistan Super League 2024 is almost here, and fans are eagerly waiting for the official theme song.
PSL 9 Official Anthem Song: Khul Ke Khel
Renowned artist Ali Zafar is back in the good graces of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), as he is set to duet with pop sensation Aima Baig on the much-anticipated anthem for the Pakistan Super League 2024 season 9 which will be released in the next few days.
Pakistan Super League anthem has just been recorded by Pakistani singers Ali Zafar and Aima Baig. Using social media, Zafar announced that the “super-talented Aima Baig” has completed recording the anthem “Khul Ke Khal.” In addition, he said that it was time to start preparing for the music video and asked for suggestions for dance moves.
Artist Line up for PSL 2024 Theme Song
Ali Zafar, who was previously dismissed from the anthem project owing to legal issues, has been formally reinstated. The decision to bring Ali Zafar back into the fold follows a shift in leadership at the PCB.
Ali Zafar was removed from the anthem project last month after being involved in a legal issue with fellow vocalist Meesha Shafi. However, with a new chairman in charge of the PCB, the decision was made to extend an olive branch to Ali Zafar, inviting him to contribute once more to the much-awaited Pakistan Super League anthem.
Just two months ago, it was announced that Ali Zafar would produce and perform the PSL theme song for the 2018 season. However, following rumors revealed that the PCB had dropped the artist as he was working on the new song.
The PSL 9 will take place from February 17 to March 18, 2024, in four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The tournament will begin with a match between defending champions Lahore Qalandars and two-time champions Islamabad United at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
Gadaffi stadium Lahore is set to host the PSL Opening ceremony where the six-team tournament’s final will take place on March 18 at Karachi’s gorgeous National Bank Stadium.
