Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal has decided not to play in the Pakistan Super League PSL 2022 player draft. Kamran Akmal withdrawn his name from the PSL 2022 as the experienced wicketkeeper has been placed in the silver category in the PSL 7 player draft.

Kamran Akmal was in the platinum category in the PSL player draft. However, it was demoted to the Silver category. That’s why he decided not to play.

In a tweet, Kamran Akmal decided not to play in PSL. “The silver category is for young cricketers,” he said. Not the Silver category for experienced cricketers.

Kamran Akmal played for Peshawar Zalmi in the first six editions of PSL. He has performed well for the team in every event. However, the team did not hold him.

Prior to the player draft, he was removed from the Platinum category and placed in the Gold category. However, the PSL authorities demoted Peshawar tyrant Kamran Akmal to the silver category for not holding him.

At the very end, he was recruited by Peshawar Zalmi. After that he informed that he will not play in PSL this time.

In this regard, Kamran Akmal said, ‘The last six seasons have been a wonderful tour of my life. Thanks to Akram Bhai, Shahid Afridi, Darren Sammy and Wahab Riaz for being by my side in all the good and bad moments. Good luck to Peshawar Zalmi. I am grateful to the fans for being by my side. ‘

In a video message after the tweet, Kamran Akmal said, ‘Leave me alone. This category is not for me but for the youth. They will benefit. I don’t need sympathy. ‘

Kamran, 39, continued to play domestic cricket despite playing for the last national team in 2016. Maybe this could be the last PSL of his career. However, he may not be seen in PSL as he has decided not to play.
